You can help
It is estimated that 22 –.28 Veterans take their lives every day. Most of this is due to untreated PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). Base Camp Hope is trying to reduce that number by helping the Veteran and their family understand PTSD and how to live with it, if possible be healed from it.
Our next step is to have a 24 hour drop-in/call center with temporary emergency housing. It will be a place of safety where the Vet or family member can get a hot meal, a change of clothing and of course counseling.
The Veteran and their family will be able to come in 24 hour a day for counseling. The facility will be used to conduct classes on how to deal with PTSD, help Vets find jobs, and much more.
Base Camp Hope is raising $1,550.000 to purchase the property at 1685 Hwy 96, White Bear Lake. This includes a house, church building with offices, gym, and more.
We are also raising an additional $1,513,137.85for up keep of the buildings, staffing, purchase of needed equipment, and other operating expenses'.
The total of funds needed are $3,563,137.85
